A camera found its way into my hands at a young age, and I've been shooting for over 15 years now — photographing friends and family long before considering it could ever be a job. Photography classes in university only deepened that interest, and a stretch working as a video designer and videographer for theatre kept me close to the craft. But it was travelling Europe on a university exchange that really pulled me in — inspired by some of the great street photographers, chasing light and story across places I'd never been.
Originally from Canada, I moved to Luxembourg and founded Klondike Photography here in late 2019. I studied theatre, film, and photography, and hold a Master's in documentary filmmaking. As a father of two, when I'm not working on documentary projects, I shoot couple and family sessions, editorial work, and commercial/brand photography.
WHY KLONDIKE
Over a century ago, thousands of people packed up and headed north to the Yukon during the Klondike Gold Rush, pulled by the same rumor, chasing the same promise. Photography today pulls people in the same way — the door's wide open, and everyone's walking through it. I'm one more person in that crowd. I know that.
What sets me apart isn't the door I walked through — it's what happens once I'm in the room. Years of training in documentary and film taught me how to read what a moment needs and how to direct towards it — a couple that doesn’t want to feel posed, a portrait that has to hold someone's whole presence in one frame, a brand image that needs to say everything it's got in a single shot. Anyone can point a camera. Knowing what the moment needs, and getting it to happen on cue — that's the part nobody can shortcut.
